Website Help

We hope to make this an easy site to use and find your way around. If you are a first time visitor or are having difficulty using the site the subjects below should help you.

Downloading Documents from the Website

On some pages there are documents that you can download. These are all in 'PDF' (portable document format).

You will need some free software called Adobe Acrobat Reader to be able to view the PDFs.

Most computers come with Acrobat Reader already installed, but if you don't have it, you can download the latest free version from the Adobe website:

Get Adobe Acrobat from the Adobe website

Accessibility

We have redesigned this website to comply with Accessibility standards as much as possible. Our aim is for the site to comply with Priority 2 (Level AA) checkpoints of the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

This website has been tested on Internet Explorer 5, 6 and the new version 7. It has also been tested on Firefox.

We will continue to try to improve the accessibility of the website, and your feedback is important to us for this.

Links

This website includes links to other pages on this site in:

  1. the menu, if the page is within the same section

  2. the Related Pages box, if the page is another section of the website.

Most links to external sites will be in the Other Websites box on the majority of our pages.

Any text with a link is underlined. If you hover your mouse over a link your cursor will change to a hand symbol and the text will turn purple. When you click the link its 'target' will open, usually in the place of the web page you have clicked.

If you want to open a link in a different browser window, right-click it with your mouse and select 'Open in new window' or 'tab'.
