Bandstand to Take a Break for Improvement Works
Eastbourne Bandstand will be undergoing essential improvement works throughout the 2022 season, to enable the iconic seafront venue to reopen to packed audiences in the future.

The works will mean the Bandstand will not be reopening for its regular outdoor concert season in April, however the Bandstand on Tour will continue its successful indoor concerts at the Welcome Building as an alternative until the end of March and then some pop-up events during the summer.

An Eastbourne Borough Council spokesperson said “Subject to cabinet approval in February, we will soon begin a £750,000 project to repair the stage area and parts of the main structure. We have been very clear that a temporary closure is required during this time.

“We look forward to welcoming audiences back to the bandstand when this essential work is completed.

“Bandstand shows are continuing at the Welcome Building and proving extremely popular with residents and visitors to the town.”
