CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 UPDATE

Measures to close entertainment, hospitality and leisure premises across the country to limit spread of coronavirus.

The closures will help limit the spread of coronavirus by helping to stop non-essential contact and unnecessary travel, in line with the public guidance announced earlier this week.

The measures will be reviewed on a monthly basis, and are being implemented across the whole of the UK.

As you may know, we have long operated on the principle that we should keep ticket prices as low as possible, in order to make the highest quality arts and culture accessible to our entire community. The unfolding Covid-19 crisis is taking an unprecedented toll on our resources and is impacting our ability to continue serving the community.

We are reaching out today to give you the option of donating all or a portion of the price of your booking back to us. We recognise that this time of uncertainty affects everybody differently, but if you are in a position to help then it could play a huge part in helping us remain a vital part of the community.

An Event I have tickets for has been cancelled. Am I entitled to a refund?
If we have your email address, we have sent you an email detailing your refund options.

If we do not have your email address please call 01323 410611.

Do Not Come To The Box Offices or Tourist Information Centres.

When will I know if the event I have tickets for is cancelled?
If we have your email address we will contact you as soon as it is confirmed that an event is cancelled with details of how the refund will be processed. We will also get in contact if the event you were due to attend is postponed. Tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date but if you can’t make it, you will be entitled to a full refund.

If we do not have your contact details; we will list them above, we will also let the local press know and up date our social media.

Will cancelled events be rescheduled?
Some events may be postponed rather than cancelled altogether. In this instance, your original tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date. If you cannot make this new date, you will be entitled to a full refund.

What happens if an event is postponed?
We will get in contact with you if the event you were due to attend is postponed. Tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date but if you cannot make it, you will be entitled to a full refund.

I have paid for travel and accommodation in Eastbourne to attend a cancelled event. Will I be reimbursed for these costs?
Unfortunately, we will not be unable to reimburse third party costs incurred when planning to attend a cancelled or postponed events.

I do not feel safe travelling to a event I have tickets for. Can I request a refund?
The safety and security of our artists, audiences and staff is, ultimately, our first priority. We would like to reassure you that we are closely monitoring government advice on the health situation. If the event you are due to attend is going ahead, this will have been in consultation with the relevant authorities and therefore, unfortunately you will not be entitled to a refund.

I cannot travel because of government restrictions in place due to COVID-19. Can I get a refund?
If the event you are due to attend is going ahead, unfortunately you will not be entitled to a refund from us. You may be able to claim from your travel insurance. More information about your consumer rights is available from Which?.

I am in self-isolation due to COVID-19 and therefore cannot attend a event I have tickets to. Can I request a refund?
If the event you are due to attend is going ahead, unfortunately you will not be entitled to a refund from us.

How can I contact you if the venue is closed?
We are responding to customer queries between 9:30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, over the phone 01323 410611 and emails to boxoffice@eastbournebandstand.co.uk. we will endeavour to respond to emails as soon as we can, with limited resources.
